ice cream and the 4th

July was just filled with ice cream, fireworks and fun!

Swimmers!

This summer we started swim lessons in May and went ALL the way till the 3rd week of September! YES!!! They are all watersafe and have become GREAT swimmers!

Maui June 2009

I'm not gonna apologize this time....I just keep forgetting about this whole plan I had to keep this up. I wonder if I put a post -it on my forehead it might help? perhaps a string on finger? hmmmmm

Anyway, June kicked off an amazing summer chock full of more first, amazing vacations, swim lessons, Popsicle eating, friends and family.

About 2 weeks after we got back from Yosemite, we went on the most amazing vacation to Maui with the entire Reynolds Family. we went to celebrate Ron's oldest brother's anniversary and vow renewal. It was the girls first ever plane ride. The whole trip was just spectacular. The girls did great on the plane and we had simply a wonderful family vacation. Abby asked me a few weeks ago while we were at the car wash if we could go to Hawaii tomorrow. I wish.

Is it really June?

OKAY, so I officially stink at keeping this up! Ugh, Life just gets so busy and I get side tracked and the next thing you know it is JUNE! Really? Is it June? June of 2009? WOW, where has the time gone?
So here is the VERY abridged version of what insanity has been taking place at the Reynolds House. Easter was wonderful. We shared the holiday with Ron's family and Margie so wonderfully included Chuck, Betsy, Charlie and Hayden. It was a wonderful day. The Lippincott's are oficially part of the reynold's family now!

The end of April we got an amazing invitation from a friend of a friend for the girls to participate in the Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique at Disneyland! It was so cute. The girls had a blast. It was definitely a one time kinda day. Several of our best friends got to do it too which made it especially fun!

May brought the month chock ful a birthdays. I think one Time I calculated between the 2 families we have 11 birthdays in May! Four of those are just in our house. Emily and Sarabeth turned 5. It makes me sad. Proud to know that they are becoming these really amazing little people that any parent would be proud of, sad that they are growing up so quickly, blessed that God has given our family so many gifts.

June 4th we went on our very first family camping trip! We went to Yosemite. It was wonderful. Wonderful because of the special friends we took along (The Rossells) special because my dad, Louise and my sister were all there and extra special because we had this opportunity to share the beauty of this amazing National Park with our kids.

The girls last day of preschool was last Thursday (June 11th). The girls had an amazing teacher, Mrs. miller whom they loved and who loved them back =) .

This week is mayhem. We are packing for Maui. Ron's brother Dick and his wife Sam are taking 29 family members to Maui to celebrate their 20th Anniversary and to renew their vows! We are so excited. First plane trip for the girls. Many pics to come.

So I still have not figured out how to put pictures in the appropriate places on this blog. I was trying to add them as each topic changed. Well, that didn't work.... So you'll have to figure out what pics go with what events =) It's not rocket science.

Okay, so I am falling behind on this. The chaos around here gets the best of me sometimes. =)
The girls started Ballet and Tap 3 weeks ago. They LOVE it!!!! Yesterday we laughed so hard because Abby is a little on the "young" side for the class. She was running across the studio and sliding on her knees like 5 feet and shouting "Ta Da"!! LOL She cracks me up.
My little sister Marcie is getting married in August in DC and called a few weeks ago to ask the girls to be in her wedding! They are super excited! She even sent them these really cute Little People playsets that are Wedding! They already named the Bride Marcie and the Groom Steve!

The week of Sugarfest 2009

Tuesday February 10th,2009
Today was our 7th Anniversary. Ron had to work so we had a date planned for the evening and Nani would watch the girls. The day started out taking Emmie and Sarabeth to preschool. Abby and I took a trip over to the Mall to find a gift for Daddy. Every year I try to get at least one item for him from Old Navy for either our Anniversary or our birthday. It is just one of those silly things I do since we were standing in the Old Navy at the The Block at Orange on our first date when we realized that we have the same birthday. Anyway, Abby and I were searching the racks when she starts up a chat with the manager. The manager asks her if she likes green. (she was wearing a green dress with green leggings and green socks....what gave it away?) She said "yes, my favwit cowor is geen and Enni wikes purpo and Sarebef wikes pink!" Of course then I had to explain who Ennie and Sarebef were. The girls just gasped like they always do when they find out we have 3 kids under the age of four.
It's been an amazing 7 years of pregnancy, childbirth, diapers, bottles, 1st steps and giggles & smiles and my sweet husband has been the cherry on top of it all. We had a dinner and a movie date night. The food was lousy, the movie was cute...the company was exceptional.
February 11th 2009
In our twins club we have made "friends for life" with a core group of mommies and their kids. Today we had our Coastline Mommy and Me preschool in the morning till noon followed by our annual Valentine's day Party with our OCMOM friends. Unfortunatly many families were sick this year so it was only four families this year =) Everyone seem sto be under the weather the last few weeks. We've been dodging the fever bullets.... instead we came home with a bag full of wonderful Valentine goodies!
At Coastline it was Nate and Maggie's birthday so they brought frosted cookies to share. They got to stand on the table while the class sang happy birthday. Abby was offered a chance to do it last week when we brought cookies for her birthday. She declined, but asked if she could do it today with Nate and Maggie. Too late....
February 12th, 2009
Party day at school. I colored icing pink for Mrs. Miller's class and they frosted cookies in class. Each of the girls came home with a bag of loot and sugar! At diner Emily and Sarabeth cgave us a whole commentary on which Valentine's were from which kids and who had given them what. emily announced that they were her best friends and that she wants to invite all of them to her birthday party. I reminded her that she has 3 months to wait. =)
February 13th, 2009
Okay, so I didn't know today was Friday the 13th? Did you? I opted to stay home since we were supposed to get this big rainstorm. It came at about noon. Oh wait, I actually blogged taht day......
February 14th, 2009
Sugarfest 2009 (aka Valentine's Day) is 2nd only to Halloween. The girls woke up this morning shouting Happy Valentine's Day at the top of their lungs. After breakfast they opened their gifts from Papi & Chula (candy & cards) and their cards with stickers from Grandma & Papa. During the week they had also received cards in the mail from Auntie Dianna, Randi, Nani, Uncle Bruce, Auntie Tiffany & Harrison as well. It was a big week, a fun week, a SUGAR week. We made sugar cookies with icing for Daddy this morning. He will be so excited when he gets home before us today to find a tray full of his favorite cookies.
This afternoon we went to a lovely tea at auntie Kathy's house. About 8 or 9 years ago she started having a tea every year at about this time of year and every year it has just gotten better and better! She tops herself each year. The girls had a wonderful time with Tiffany and Taylor and Mommy enjoyed chatting with the women of the family and the joy of the day.

It's raining,....it's pouring........

California is a funny place. Sometimes it is freezing in February and sometimes it is 90 degrees! Today was a rainy day, the first of what is supposed to be like 6 days of rain I think. So, we went outside to check out the puddles.....

daddy is working late tonight. Kind of weird not to have him home at 6:30pm, but we are surviving. Everyone actually took an hour nap today and I did 6 loads of laundry! Woo Hoo. When Abby woke up she asked "where's Daddy?" I reminded her that he would be late tonight but we'd stay up a little later than usual to see him before bed. she asked...." Is he walking the Wobsters?".... I can't wait to tell him that she thinks that's what he does at work!

Friday February 6th Abby & Erin's Party

Since the weather is always so unpredictable this time of year Sharon and I decided to celebrate Erin and Abby's birthday's together at My Gym. It was sooooooo fun. The girls both turned three and had such fun sharing their birthday together and with their friends.

Monday February 2nd.....the wagon......

I don't care how old these girls get, I know they are gonna play with this wagon forever. Kenan brought Devon, Delaney and Daric over on Monday to play. They had a blast as always....BFF's!

Tuesday February 3rd, 2009 She's 3!!!

Okay, I'm a little a back logged here. Tuesday February 3rd was Abby's 3rd birthday! We kicked off a whole week of celebrating by first meeting Betsy and Kenan for coffee at Peet's in Seal Beach after dropping Emmie and Sarabeth off at preschool. Betsy brought a candle for Abby's banana bread. Abby thought that was great! The first pic is of the three of them that morning before school.
That morning I had given Ron some Elmo balloons to get blown up and bring home and also asked him to bring home some birthday cupcakes. She was so excited when he came in with his arms loaded with birthday-ness! It's so hard for me to think that she is really 3 already. Where did the time go? I want her to stay little forever.......

Playdoh & Valentines

We stayed in today. we had a super long week of school, park playdates and a LONG day at Disneyland on Wednesday for Margaret & Audrey's 5th birthday! We stayed till 8:30. Mommy was pooped out. So today I needed to get a start on a heap of laundry and cleaning since we are having a Super Bowl party tomorrow and I decided to keep the girls busy with playdoh. We make our own since we go through so much. Let me know if you want the recipe. I set it up for them at about 10am and they played for 2 hours! They started a ghost, kitty , penguin, dog factory with some cutters and Emily was the Foreman. When Emily tells you what your job is and that you better get to it, boy you listen.

We also worked on Valentines today. We have been working hard on writing our first and last name and I figured it might take a few weeks to get them all written. Emily wrote 2 today. Sarabeth did all 11 of hers! She is such a little overachiever. I love it. Not every S was exactly perfect, but she sure did do her VERY best! What were we thinking when we gave her a name with 8 letters and beginning with S. Do you kow how hard it is to make an S? It's harder than it looks when you are 4 years old.

Abby is cutting 2 molars today. Poor baby is just miserable. She did not get any teeth till she was 15 months old, so she is a little behind getting her two year molars. she will be 3 on Tuesday! In any case, she is catching up, but she is miserable today. I hope tomorrow is a better day for her.

The trampoline!

These girls LOVE to bounce like nobody's business! Last year for Emily and Sarabeth's 4th birthday Margie and Vern bought them a bouncy house. we actually set it up INSIDE our house on rainy days. They love it. It is great exercise and they get wiped out when we can't go to the park or outside to ride bikes. These girls love to jump, especially on beds and on sofas. We FINALLY found the solution to make them stop. we bought a mini trampoline. You know? One of those kind you exercise on in your home. Nothing really fancy. 48 inches of bouncing fun! They take turns setting the timer and bouncing till their hearts content. For the first time since any of them could walk, I have gone more than 2 days without scolding someone to stop jumping on our furniture or their beds. They are getting tons of exercise and are so ready for bed in the evenings!
Roller Skates: So last year all three girls really wanted roller skates. Ron and I did not really feel they were ready for them, but they were so set on getting them from Santa. Anyway, after a year of these skates sitting on a shelf in the garage, I got them out today! It was soooooooo fun. They are adjustable for size and they also can be adjusted for ability. They had a blast!
