Today was my mom's 62nd birthday! Wow. I guess I just don't ever think of her being that old....or is that old? I guess it is all relative. She will come over tomorrow and will stay for a few days, probably through the weekend. We just called her on the phone to wish her Happy Birthday. The girls of course did not want to say goodbye.

We stayed home today since Abby is still a little under the weather. The gate went back up again after I found all three of them in Sarabeth & Emily's room with dolly strollers on top of their beds! Yes, strollers loaded up with toys and dollies on top of their beds!

When Ron got home tonight we went out to make some holiday returns/exchanges. First REI for a bigger size fleece vest for Abby, (a gift from my dad & Louise) and then to Kohl's for returns. The girls were maniacs. I guess it must have had something to do with the fact that they have been cooped up in the house for like 4 days. They were acting like "those crazy kids" you always see in stores who don't listen to their parents. Anyway, we escape from Kohl's by the skin of our teeth and get over to Toys R Us and after we park I realize I have forgotten the receipts!

Back home we go to eat dinner and then we take them out at like 6:30 back to TRU. They are like every other kid in Toys R Us....wide eyed and posessed with the need for every toy they lay their hands on. For days, Emily has been saying that she really wanted a race car for Christmas so we begin the hunt. I am thinking along the lines of thsi cool remote control race car made by Tonka I saw on Jon & Kate Plus 8 a few months back. We make our way through the store and detour through the bike section. Emily suddenly squeals with glee and says that's the race car I wanted Mommy! She is referring to a purple Corvette for two! I'd need another garage for a toy this big. Not to mention the fact that is probably had a sticker price way outta my budget. I asked her where Abby would sit. She said that Abby could ride in my car. After about an hour of returns, exchanges and shopping we head for the checkout and Emily spots a scooter! The three of them begin taking turns riding it up and down the aisles. They have scooters in our garage that Uncle Bruce gavethem for Christmas like 2 years ago and they are never this interested in those. Is it because they are riding inside. I'm getting those scooters out tomorrow. As we finally leave the store, everyone is whining and moaning as it is 8:15pm and they are DONE for the day. Abby is clenching a Thomas train with a death grip......Yes, we bought the train.........

Christmas is over and the girls have so enjoyed the season. I have to say that this year was the best Santa pic we have ever gotten. Abby was bribed by the Mall Santa with a candy cane to come sit on his bench. I hope this does not mean she'll take candy from strangers and go with them? Who am I kidding? Of course she would. She is two!

I'm gonna just jump right in here and tell you what happened today, mostly because I could spend pages and hours trying to get everything down that has led up till now.

Many of you already know this.... while all three of our girls love the water, Emily and Abby have this passion about finding even the smallest droplet of water anywhere we may go. Most recently they have been playing in the bathroom on a daily basis anytime my back is turned. I put one of the baby gates back up last Tuesday (December 24th) after catching the two of them putting playdoh down the drains in their double sinks and trying to wash the drains out with their toothbrushes. JOY! That's nothing compared to Abby scrubbing the toilet with her toothbrush about 2 weeks ago. Maybe we should buy stock in Oral B?

Sarabeth comes running out of the bathroom this morning shouting I think the gate needs to go back up Mommy! Yes, little mommy or the Toddler Police , as we like to call her was calle dto action. What I think is hilarious is that she never tells on them right when they start. She waits till there is a nice big mess. The gate went back up today at noon...... So 15 minutes later, where is Abby? She is in the kitchen filling cups from the water on the door of the fridge.....

Sarabeth & Emily wanna take dance classes. I have been looking online at city classes. $46-$99 for 6-8 sessions of ballet times three little girls......yikes. I need a job just to pay for their extra-cirricular activities.

Tonight I got an email from a MOM in our multiples group asking for prayers for a frien who also has twins. One of the twin girls (age 2) has cancer. It made me stop and think if only for a moment about how thankful we are to have healthy children.
